Montgomery Place continues to address COVID-19

Today, we communicate with you information we have already shared with residents. We think it is helpful for you to know how we are taking proactive measures to reduce the risk of exposure at Montgomery Place.  Please contact your loved ones and communicate directly with them. Because our periods of social distancing and modified behaviors continue, your calls become even more important. There are NO active cases of COVID 19 at Montgomery Place. There are NO reported symptoms consistent with the virus among residents, patients or staff. We continue our precautionary levels of restricting everyone except but residents and staff to the entire building. Community meals have been suspended, with meal deliveries made to each apartment. We are instituting technology options for virtual meetings allowing residents to continue committee meetings and be involved in daily life. Last week, we worked with the Chicago Board of Elections Commissioners to secure ballots for registered voters. Ballots arrived and were distributed. Ballots will be picked up both tonight and on election day, March 17 by Board. Our nursing team makes rounds twice daily throughout the entire building to monitor residents’ health, take temperatures and pulse-oxy. Additionally, residents receive as many as three meal deliveries per day, package deliveries when they arrive, security checks and other services. We are taking good care of all who live here. Medical appointments are being rescheduled, but through use of telehealth alternatives, we will meet the medical needs of residents during this crisis.
