Montgomery Place applauds all “superheroes” during this time of COVID-19
Dear Friends and Family:
Today was a good day…for me, at least, because I had a day of pleasure reading and taking a nap. In a quick review of notes, it seems to have been a quiet day at Montgomery Place as well. I’ll learn more tomorrow as I head back to our community.
Today, I saw a TV commercial about mothers with newborns during this pandemic. It featured an older woman who shared that she, too, was born in a pandemic, the one which occurred in 1918. She offered encouragement, that mothers are not alone and that we can survive this!
I feel for the parents of young children who are working professionals and now working from home while caring for their kids. And being teachers, day care center workers, referees for siblings’ fights, cooks, housekeepers, barbers (Wahl clippers are a godsend!), and even nurses to all the skinned knees, all while trying to hold Zoom conference calls with co-workers, clients and bosses. They are just as much HEROES in this pandemic as everyone in healthcare. You have my admiration and thanks!
Until tomorrow, I leave you with a wish for a peaceful night and a sunshine morning!
